Editorial Communication Guidelines & Verification Protocols
At NailsTherapy, transparency and scientific rigor form the bedrock of our digital publication. Whether you are a certified nail technician submitting technical observations, a cosmetic chemist with formulation insights, or a brand requesting product lab evaluation, please review our communication guidelines below.
Scientific Corrections
We hold ourselves to strict dermatological standards. If you spot an ambiguous chemical nomenclature, an outdated lamp photobiology reference, or an incomplete citation in any guide, our editorial team investigates within 48 hours. Validated corrections are credited in our public change log.
Lab Testing Submissions
Brands seeking product reviews or inclusion in our benchmark testing matrices must provide authentic Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and batch chemistry analyses. We do not accept paid positive reviews; every gel polish, LED lamp, and adhesive undergoes blind laboratory stress testing.
Press & Academic Media
Editor-in-Chief Elena Rostova and our advisory board frequently provide expert quotes, chemical hazard breakdowns, and market analyses for publications, beauty podcasts, and dermatology symposiums. Please prefix urgent media inquiries with [PRESS INQUIRY].
Product Evaluation Requirements for Cosmetic Manufacturers
NailsTherapy maintains an active cosmetic chemistry testing facility in Osnabrück, Germany. When submitting cosmetic formulations for editorial review, manufacturers must comply with European Cosmetic Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 and provide documentation verifying:
- ✓ Complete quantitative ingredient disclosure (INCI format)
- ✓ Absence of methyl methacrylate (MMA) and prohibited monomers
- ✓ Verified photoinitiator curing spectrum (nm emission profile)
- ✓ HEMA / HPMA concentration compliance metrics
- ✓ Thermal exothermic spike data during peak LED irradiation
- ✓ Batch certificate of analysis and manufacturing stability logs
Submissions that meet preliminary screening will receive confirmation and a laboratory tracking ID. Unsolicited physical packages sent without prior editorial clearance cannot be returned.
